wern't you making that game or something

Yes, the game was Sonic Racer. SupaChao was in charge of the game programming. I was creating the sprites and art. But, apparently he lost contact with a few people that were supposed to help, and it was put on hold and then it died.

This is an unfinished bit of art I was going to use for a second Sonic Drift 3 hoax. It is based off of the vehicle seen in my Sonic & Knuckles Racer hoax a long time ago. As you can probably tell, it resembles the original sprite, which is what I was going for. But I'm not going to finish this because the Sonic Racer project has died, and I realy don't feel like drawing Knuckles posing in front of it. :p

Here is that original Sonic & Knuckles Racer hoax incase you've missed it...

And here is the first Sonic Drift 3 hoax incase you've missed that too.

Anyu chance we might see pics of these?

Not anytime soon, perhaps in a hoax or a screenshot of SupaChao's game. Right now the cars are on a sprite sheet I compiled, and SupaChao is the first to see any new vehicles I make (usualy). I might release version 1 of the sheet, right now I have version 3 done and that is going to be sent to SupaChao next time I talk to him.

It's not a s***hole in my eyes. It just needs a few minor changes done to it. Anyone that says so is likely blind and isn't looking at the good side of CulT. There's so much to read and do here and so much information, if it sucked so bad then why do people come back and why is there so many members? If people hated it so much they wouldn't come back and they'd save their posts for another site.

No, but it's too bad you don't live near me. The computer store I work at does X-Box and PS2 mods (but YOU must bring the chips) for a very low price.

I don't listen to rap offten but I do listen somtimes. The only real thing I hate about it is when people change the subject and turn someone's song forum into a rap contest. Rapping about eachother's mommas and what not. I was in one at Simon Wai's, some of it was funny, but it got realy annoying REALY fast. The only rap I truely like is oldschool. 2 Live Crew owns! :P

I was gone for quite a while because of a similar problem. I could no longer afford my internet service which also hosted my website *points to missing avatar/sig* so I know what it's like. I can help with money as soon as I get some of my own debts paid (about another month). And I realy would hate to see the CulT just dissapear so suddenly, it just seems like a waste. It has so much great information and dispite some of the bad things people say about it, it is indeed a great part of the Sonic community in general. The forums could use some changes but not completely removed. It just needs a better way to get rid of unwanted junk and unwanted people (perhaps a quiz like SWS2B? That would also save some bandwidth because of the reduced amount of members.) and that would help bring some much needed respect.

As for making fees for it's members, no way. People wouldn't do it, trust me on this. You must have somthing on the homepage for people who wish to donate. And then have ads on the pages for people who don't pay. Then you need to find the cheapest host. Find you're usage statistics from the previous host and based on that, get the lowest price for your avrage statistics. You don't want to pay for bandwith and storage space you don't use. Also, perhaps rewards could be in order for people who donate, such as an extra ranking or somthing. That would definitely attract people to donating (but of corse you wouldn't want a n00b to have all emeralds, thats why use the quiz idea for registering).

I would love to donate if some simple changes were made, however I will donate otherwise simply because of the amount of Sonic information gathered here. I doubt that changing gifs to png will save much money/bandwidth, but if money is THAT tight, it might be a good idea. But let me address, these are just my humble opinions, whether you take action based on them or not is up to you. Just don't let CulT die.

Ouch, that hurts. That's just like a punch to the nuts.

It isn't THAT bad.

He meant advertising a DC2 knowing we will never see one ;_;

Well it's okay to dream isn't it? And that isn't the only picture/hoax I plan on making. There are way too many PS3 and XBOX2 hoaxes out there and I've read that thing about Sega's new console, but Dreamcast 2 hoaxes are scarce so all I'm really doing is balancing things out. And you never know, theres a chance they might make a DC2.

And here are some hoaxes I just finished to go with the Sonic and Knuckles Racer ad. Of corse, a game like this would have to be flash or somthing similar so I designed my own hud.

This is the first time I had an idea for a sonic street racing game. But obviously I made the cars too realistic and it looks like a completely different game.

Nice artwork. I used to draw poligonal looking drawings like that and space ships, but I was quickly spoiled by 3D modeling software and now I probably can't do it anymore.

Yeah I wish I could reprogram them. I'd have the car blow snow like the machine in Ice Cap Zone in S3K. I remember someone told me the flame thrower one should be the Genocide City Boss but thats still too hard to do. You would have to port a boss with ether projectile programming or flame effect like from S3K. If you're good enough you could just program it yourself to make it place the flame sprite in front of the machine to make it simple. I have some ideas for HPZ and DHZ but I haven't drawn them yet.

The strangest dream I've had was of a city sized space ship. No joke. And I've had different dreams which involved this ship. The first one was weird, I was driving down the road and looked over to my left where a field should be and instead I saw towers comming out. I stopped the car and got out and noticed there were others looking at it too. Then suddenly the ground shook and it began rising. Then parts from underneth began hinging outward and then leveled on the side (much like petals on a flower expand) and now it was flatter than it first was. And I woke up without seeing anything else.

The second dream was a bit scary. This time I pulled up to my friends house and I looked up and there was the craft agan, this time already expanded but there were a bunch of planes flying under it like crazy and they were shooting at eachother. Then, out of nowhere in the dogfight, a large object about the size of a barrel bigins falling. The planes stop shooting and scatter in all directions. When the object hit the ground, a large shockwave blasted the trees that were in the background and it came towards me and my friends house. When it got there I somehow jupped over it (this was a dream what do you expect) and then the house was demolished and so were all the surrounding houses. Then I woke up.

And no, this wasn't caused by the movie Independence Day, I haven't seen that in years and this was alot different. I drew a sketch of the ship from the first dream when I woke up, so I could remember what it looked like. But It's not that great, I ment to do a 3D rendering of it but never got around to it.

I would be willing to help with level art.  My hack is posted a few pages back if you wanna see what I can do(I still have yet to put up my finishing touches on it).  I'm shit with the raw code though.  I just make the pretty pictures that show up on screen.  :D

I'm the same. I'm good at making the sprites but I'm not good enough to implement them. I wish I could have used these in a hack but until I learn more they will be forever trapped as gifs. :(

This is my hack I posted on SWS2B called Sonic 2 Fastlane. The basic idea is the levels are modified to make Sonic go super fast. But the levels aren't bland, they still have places to explore and such. Watch the 2 player demo.

EHZ1 - Easyest level. You can simply hit the sneaker monitor right off the start and hold down the RIGHT button to finish the level in around 18 seconds.

EHZ2 - Same deal exept after a twist loop, there will be a small hill which you jump from and onto an upper path to continue to the boss.Ariving at about 20 seconds.

WFZ - A few new places to explore.Thats about it.

Slightly updated version:
EHZ2: The bottom path of is fixed sort of (I suggest you spin through here) and the middle path is half done but still joins with the remainder of the level.

CPZ: Not much different from the normal one exept I fixed some tag problems near the beginning where I made a slope.

ARZ: Palette was changed agan because somone said there was another hack that used it. Also I began editing the level and I recorded a not so perfect demo.

Sonic2Fastlane_v1a.zip
