E3 2004 Screenshots
-------------------------
These screenshots show the earliest build of the game. The HUD is different, the map is different, and there was lock on targeting and beam charging (like the near final).

Later Version/First Hunt Demo
-----------------------------------
This is a later build of the game with changed HUD and map, with no lock on or beam charging. New beam is present.
EDIT: In the First Hunt demo, the super missle/beam charging is possible. Scroll down to my next post for an explanation.

*Bump*

Apparently, in the First Hunt Demo, you can do a Super Missle by collecting 2 missle icons and holding L or R (in stylus mode controls). The same thing can be done with the Electro Lob (collecting 2 electro lob icons).

Also, some facts about scores:

The highest score that can be obtained in Regulator mode is 46240 points. There are 68 enemies.

The highest score that can be obtained in Morph Ball mode is 72250 points. There are 85 morph ball modules.

And for the hell of it, my current high scores:

Regulator: 46240 points in 5:13
Survivor: 8301 points with 101 kills
Morph Ball: 72250 in 46.90 seconds

There's a little glitch in Multiplayer. When you're facing someone and they disconnect during a match, the game goes on normally until time runs out, counting the kills you have (if you have any).

Edit: A little old, but:http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3142003
No online multiplayer ;___;

Edit 2: In this preview video for the DS, showing SM64 DS and MPH:FS, around 00:31 seconds into the video it shows a different multiplayer area. Also note that for the whole screening of MPH:FS, there is no score on the bottom screen or any scoring system on the top screen (top right hand corner).

This is the video:http://www.metroidonline.com/Web_Files/Vid...terspromo01.wmv

Edit 3: This video also has the same differences:http://www.metroidonline.com/Web_Files/Vid...s/MPHDSdemo.wmv

The official site for the game shows the other characters (Noxus, Spire, and Kanden), and explains their stories as well as Samus'.

The biggest news from the list was the delay of Metroid Prime: Hunters for the DS. Originally scheduled for release this October, Samus' first-person adventure on the DS will now ship in the first quarter of 2006.

By the way, for some reason, sites keep saying that they have new screenshots of MP:H. There just the same screens from the later version/First Hunt demo released last year =/

Example: http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/dsmetroi...dex.html?page=1 "New" screenshots added 08/17/'05

http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/dsmetroi...dex.html?page=3 They are also on this page, and they were added 10/07/'04

Metroid to hunt online

Nintendo announces Metroid Prime: Hunters will be Wi-Fi-enabled when it arrives next year.
Earlier this week, DS owners eagerly awaiting the release of Metroid Prime: Hunters got some bad news. Although a demo of the game shipped with the DS last year, the game itself was delayed until next year, pushed back from this October.

Today, though, those same gamers got some good news, as it turns out the delay is not in vain. Saying Metroid fans' "patience has paid off," Nintendo announced today that when Hunters does ship, it will do so with total access to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the company's forthcoming online service. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection will go online later this year, with Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing DS being the first games to support it.

For more on Metroid Prime: Hunters, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

Yay, I win. :P I knew this was the main reason for the delay. I hardly think the rest of the game would've taken that long to develop, unless they're adding a shitload of multiplayer levels.

Maybe a level editor, but I mustn't get my hopes up...
