I've got Nights, Christmas Nights, and a Nights demo (sampler) disc. At the moment I don't recognize any of those textures, so you may've found something!

How big is the NiGHTs iso compressed?
Also, would you know if Saturn emulators run NiGHTs?

Yes. Just use the old Swap Disk trick if you don't have an AR or a modchip.

Sanik told me to look for question marks and angle brackets, so I did and round about offset $6540 in the 0NIGHTS file there's a ton of them. That could be a model, since apparently question marks and angle brackets indicate float values.

Oh yes, and here's a file list which I ripped out of 0NIGHTS (which seems judging from the contents to be a central file). I'll include what each file appears to be.

I can't edit my post for some reason, so here's an update. The M00.ADP through M10.ADP are audio files in AIFF format. If anyone can get them to work, that would be good - Winamp doesn't like them.

The CPK files are another format but I don't recognise it.

The ADP and CPK have been fully identified. The CPK files are Cinepak video files, and the ADP files are the matching audio track.

The acpk2avi tool on this page will convert these two files into a complete AVI file with sound.

Isn't much of a discovery when the tool to do the job has already been made. Talk about re-inventing the wheel. huh.gif

How big is the 0NIGHTS file?
I can try to vew it.
BTW, I made the viewer try to load compressed vertices that are a word.
Then I remade it to read compressed vertices that may be bytes just in case.
Then I loaded the decompressed 2 PRS files you gave me, and there was nothing but junk.
So I don't think the models are in the PRG or RD packages at all.
PRG = script?
RD = Render Data (Textures)

Thought as much. You came to the same conclusion I did.

Ah, okay, so the ? and > are randomly spaced about, but frequent.

In your quest for geometry data, look not for floating point values, as the SH-2s in the Saturn don't have an FPU. Look instead for fixed point values.

What type of integer?
byte?
word?
or dword?

So far I have viewers for bytes and words, but nothing on dwords

Hmm..bummer...I bet the Saturn would have had more balls if they didn't skimp on an fpu.

If someone knows anything about how to search game code with a GameShark or whatever, I can do that... I'm sure it can't be too hard to find the cable to go from computer to GS, and I've accidentally stumbled across the GS dev program on more than one occasion (I remember seeing a lot about it when I first found a couple Saturn emus a while back...they all required the bios files from the Saturn, and the only way to have gotten them was by using the GS link thingy).

I recognise the 'weird egyptian type writing' (stars and stuff) as being the texture for the core like structure in Wizemans level. (i've always called it Babel). The reason i know this is cuz i always have to draw the damn thing in my comics. Not sure about the others tho. I'll grab some screenshots to show you.
Thankyou for taking the time to work on all this, it's VERY appreciated smile.gif

edit//
actualy the more i'm looking into this the more im thinking its just Wizeman. I mean unless they had intended a sub boss before the Wizeman battle 7 bosses wouldn't fit. The kids had 3 bosses each plus a Wizeman battle. Which makes me think perhaps the Selph data is the reverse boss battle for the other kid, being elliot or claris. Infact *thinks* i'm sure Wizeman heads off from the opposite direction when you go as the opposite child. *will check so later* I know for a Fact christmas Gillwing comes from the opposite side of the screen in xmas NiD.

It would have been a nice thing if 'Selph' was a faceoff against your self smile.gif Hey, mebbe it's the 2player mode data with Reala? Just a thought. Possibly a silly more than obvious one. Hell i'd love for there to have been a deleted boss, but knowing my luck there won't be. *hopes anyhoo*
