I suppose there remains a small chance that Conker is in the Mario universe, but they look nothing alike. For example, there's a lack of floating platforms and pipes in Conker games.

I does remind me of some sort of character, but whoever it is, he was only some side character who wasn't that importaint and made one or two appearances. Doesn't really spark my mind much.

Flying Battery. There's nothing quite as cool as a massive flying battle ship. Oh yea, and the music kicks complete ass.

So, looks like Genesis VRAM, huh? The way the letters wrap around to a new line.

And Woodzone, I don't think the add is funny because it's against smoking, (I don't condone smoking, endorse it, and pretty much despise it) I think it's funny because these days we recognize the 32X as a pretty bad console, if you can even call it a console, and the fact that video game violence is such an issue these days makes for more humor. Get it now?

It's obviously a pre-rendered 3D graphic, which doesn't always work on the the Megadrive, even though it's going through a 32X.

And, if it's not a pre-rendered 3D graphic, then I'm amazed and dissapointed at the same time.

Another piece of art for Zelda POT, Majora the Mask Maker:

And don't be complaining about drawing skill. Some digital clean up and coloring will fix it just fine. Just tell me if you like the design.

This Video Game.net scan looks like Genesis/Megadrive tiles in VRAM, doesn't it?

I used to think that Knuckles didn't have the ability to talk (he was a mute), because I could never really picture a voice for him. Knuckles is pretty stupid sometimes though, especially getting trciked by Robotnik so many times. Come on dude, you can understand the fuck'n poem needed to use the master emerald, can't you tell when the fat guy is just using you?

Oh for the love of God, we already have one emo in the Sonic universe. Please don't make there be two of them.

Knuckles is already a bit of an emo, but it a more positive sense. He philosophies and thinks about the world around him, simply becaus he was to sit next to that damn green emerald all day, which floats for no apparent reason and makes the ground under his feet float too.

OK, I don't have anything against the 32X, except that if repairs are so commonly needed that there needs to be a guide on this site's main page, then it should have gone through better hardware testing. And Doom does kick ass, it's just not exacally the game you'd expect them to give to kids for this kind of promotion. I'd expect, maybe, a complete Sonic Game collection or something.) It was a cool article THEN, but it's just funny looking at it now.

Has anyone ever gone to the "Sonic & Knuckles" section of "Secrets of Sonic Team" and seen this scan:

IPB Image
(Scan by: Big Smile)

There are two things that are horribbly wrong with this scan. First off, giving kids a 32X is probaly going to make them want to rather kill themselves with a slow and horrible death, so they'll turn to smoking. Second, if they get the damn thing working, they can take out some strange issues they have with violence rather than smoking, by playing Doom. What the hell was up with SEGA that day?!

EDIT: I saved the image to my photobucket account. FILTER THAT BITCH!

Look at the lower right corner of the manual for my regular blue disc.

there are really no differences at all.

Oh, woops. My bad for missing that. Yea, I guess the only diffrence is in color then really. What will you choose? Amy, or Sonic...hmmmm.....*begins complex and pointless decision and analysis process, which is acompanied by driving Hard Rock*

That's probably the reason why the idea of a Sonic Bunny was abandonded. A rabbit is normal, but a hedeghog!? And he's got blue fur!? (If you wanna compair IceKnight's avatar to the Sonic bunny, just look in my sig.)

Well, I had to make up for the "Guess my name's meaning" incident, which wound up in the vomit bin. It's already been helpful to me, because now all that time of just hearing how it works, I finally understand how it works. Hacks are coming from me, let's hope I can do'em right.

With IceKnight's Badnik contest coming up, and me with only limited technical know-how of Sonic, I started look for hacking tools to make sure my sprites would follow Genesis standards. I managed to find a neat-o little modification to Gens (called KMod) which lets you dump pretty much everything from the game in a variety of formats, as well as look at pretty much everything going on in real time. See sprite lists change, dump tiles, and everything else. As for editing the games, can't do that, but it'll get you on a good start. I hope to use this as I start hacking. (Through this, i discovered that's Tails's tail tiles are perfectly seperate from his body, making them easy to graphically hack. I've got some funny ideas...)

KMod Homepage
Download KMod, NOW!

(NOTE: Games may occasionaly have slight lag, since the emulaitor has to deal with more than mere emulation in this case. Not to worry, it doesn't get in the way very much.)

Then again, maybe Sonic Team just like to fuck with people by putting a badnik on several packages as a real enemy, only to find that he's nowhere in the games (unless you hack).
*

I highly doubt thats the case.
*

I was being sarcastic. I don't think Sonic Team would really do that.
