The Peach game looks fun but what REALLY got my interest is The Last Ninja. FUCKING THE LAST NINJA.

I just hope it won't be another "lets make a handheld vomit sequel" esque game like Jazz Jackrabbit Advance was.

And on that note, should they ever remake Flimbos Quest on the DS I would buy the console.

Well, it seems I better get back into my gaming mode... it'll be like 1996 all over again!

n00b question: does the DS play GBA games? cuz all these plus Mother 3 will evidently put a bulge in my pants.

also: I hope the DS will be around for at least another decade. It's an awesome platform for a lot of designers who want to stick to 2-D gaming.

Agreed. At the very least, I think they'd continue with the dual-screen touch design simply so they can go backwards compatible again.

If they were to do that for Game Boy Next, the DS would lose its' creative individuality. Nintendo has repeatedly said the DS is a seperate project outside of the Game Boy line, so there's no chance of them making a new Game Boy with the same features as the DS. It makes no sense.

But they could do it for something other than the Game Boy Next. The DS Next.

A more powerful GBA with DS-level graphics (But GBA interface) and a more powerful DS with the same interface but near-GC graphics.

The only problem I have with them "splitting" the handheld lineup is that, for all intents and purposes, the DS is strictly superior to the GBA in everything except size. I guess it'd just be sort of weird for them to have some crazy powerful DS Advance or whatever, and then just the GB3 that, for all intents and purposes, would be inferior.

Basically, I'm proposing a merging of the two systems for the next handheld sytem. But I can understand the benefits of keeping the lines separate, so to speak.

By the time a new DS comes out, it better have better graphics than a Gamecube.
