At least, I (myself) will add Rika_chou's artworks during the week-end. And possibly some new Sonic official artwork coming from a package given by someone on the web ;).

At the beginning I thought it was the French box art origially  ! Seriously, errm...
Ah yes! As I promised it, I made a nice update. I added all Rika_chou's art, restored some missing images (some of them only, on which I improved visual quality or added a smooth transparency) and added some brand new art (JPEG recoverings) coming from a RAR package someone on the Internet (Shadowthehedgehog) provided me provided me.
By the way, as the 'news' paragraph is getting bigger and bigger (even if old news are moved to the 'news history' page!), I'll probably make the art sections appear on the left of the page instead of after the news. If Hivebrains agrees with me, the site will be more pleasant to consult... I think .

Hehe, I've just added those pics ;). Yeah, they're cool. But Rika's made a mistake on a link (the son1.png one, it linked to the son2.png one), so I've just disvovered one missing artwork :P. The correct link is above :

edit: my engrish skills are for great justice.
edit 2: I could zip em and send them all to you if you want.
Are those from Sonic & Knuckles Collection for PC? I have those too..It had a different (at least, for me) boxart of Sonic Chaos, for example. It's the pictures shown during the Sonic Screensaver (included in S&K Collection).

Rika_chou : Illustrator you say ? Well, well, I'll install it. Give an .ai extension. Thanks for the precision (lol, repeating the same things all the time :P). Can Photoshop open these files too  ?
Doomsday Forte : the pictures you're talking about come from the S3KC screensaver ?? I'm interested in them in that case. Are they in good quality :P ?
Well, a little info : I don't really know when I'll make the next update as I've got a bunch of art to put on the site. Thank you for your comprehension.

Yes but you see, when you open it with:
1. Illustrator, you can make it any size to your hearts content without any quality loss.
2. Photoshop, you can't enlarge it without quality loss, and the colors aren't so sharp.

OK, I get it. I've downlaoded some files and they look... wow! But the color problem you're talking about in Photoshop seems to be a color profile problem. AI file are loaded using the wrong profile interpretation I think (I somewhat fixed the problem by applying an Adobe RGB profile to the image, and then reconverting the profile to sRGB again to get better colors). So, I may not have the time to put all of them, but some of them will be on the Sonic Art Archive, that's for sure (and I'll also make PNG versions too). And I'll add a link to the folder you've placed the art, too.
Other thing : I had the time to make another update.
Little update this time and something unique because I offer you some Genesis artworks. Yes, you've read right : Genesis! And they're really awesome. I hugely thank Malan (on a French Sonic forum) for having brought them! He also added a transparency originally, even if I had to recreate it (to eliminate halo effects). Anyway, here they are :
(click on thumbnails to bring full scale vesrions!!!)
Links have been added to the Sonic section too, on the website ;).
But Malan also posted a lot of Genesis art, not only the previous ones. So expect some huge updates on next Tuesday and Thursday ;).

Well...I guess they are. They're pretty big, and they're all Bitmaps. Good enough for a background for a screensaver, I guess. *checks dimensions* Each file is about 301 KB, and..640 x 480 pixels.
Edit: Looks like many of the pictures posted here came from there. I noticed that Knux in the EU Sonic 3 boxart is in another picture...hold on. We have a winnar. *shot* I wonder where my picture is used/where it came from?
